Today is the first day of the Chinese New Year – celebrated over three days officially but up to two weeks unofficially, Chinese New Year follows the Lunar calendar. As such, each year the dates are different but they always occur around the new moon closest to the start of Spring. This is the Year of the Dog, so celebrate accordingly!
