It’s Giving Tuesday! #GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving. Although we encourage anyone to give to any organization that they consider worthy on this day of giving, we would like to direct attention to the Pet Project Foundation, an organization very near and dear to our hearts.
In conjunction with the San Clemente-Dana Point Animal Shelter, the Pet Project Foundation (PPF) have endeavored for almost thirty years to provide pro-humane care to the lost and abandoned animals. With PPF providing significant financial support, as well as donating over 25,000 hours of volunteer time each year, the shelter can ensure that every animal in its care will have a safe refuge until a permanent, loving home can be found.
We support the Pet Project Foundation’s mission and efforts to provide the best care for lost and abandoned animals as well as helping them find forever homes. Pet Project Foundation is Ellie Paw Approved. We hope you will join us in supporting this great organization this Giving Tuesday by either donating directly to them via their site or via Amazon Smile and Ralphs grocery stores (see below for instructions on how to donate through Amazon Smile and Ralphs). You can even sponsor a special needs animal on their website. You can also follow Pet Project Foundation at their Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest or LinkedIn accounts.
If you have story you would like to share or an organization you would like people to become aware of for their good works, please feel free to share on our Facebook, tweet it to @EllieWienerdog or tag us on your Instagram post using @elliewienerdog.
