Kim Hales is the founder of Open Door Press and author of the children’s book series, Life’s Little Lessons by Ellie the Wienerdog. She is an award winning photographer, artist and writer who found her inspiration through her muse, Ellie the Wienerdog. Because Kim has always believed in the power and magic of a good book she has dedicated herself to writing stories for children and building a publishing house that celebrates books for people of all ages. Kim lives in southern California with her husband and writes in the company of her wiener dogs, Ellie and Ruby.
